about

Tyler Hutton is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California who is
deeply committed to making organic, fully human Rock and Roll, Folk, and Pop music. His
songs are heavily influenced by 20th Century legends including The Beatles, Buddy Holly, The
Band, and The Moody Blues as well as by his own modern-day artistry and attitude. His debut
album will drop September 14th, 2019 and will make a fine introduction to Hutton’s world and
writing style for the uninitiated. Songs like “Through My Window” and “Try Your Luck” are
instantly engaging and memorable, built upon a foundation of musicianship, lyrical skill, and an
undeniable connection to anyone listening.
Originally from Atlanta, Hutton began playing piano at age four. He picked up the guitar and
began writing songs at 13 after discovering his parent’s record collection. Hutton studied
classical guitar at the University of Alabama before moving to Los Angeles at 21. He’s worked
as a side player and studio musician since arriving in California and has appeared with Joel
Jerome, The Hidden Lines, and in Andy Dick’s comedy band.
Now, Hutton is an evolved recording artist and songwriter with his own vibe to communicate.
“I’m committed to making organic music and I don’t take any shortcuts to make it,” he said,
continuing, “I’m not trying to be someone else or fit into any particular scene. I simply want to
write decent songs that resonate with people. I feel like the craft of songwriting has been
cheapened in many ways and I want to put out a high volume of quality music.” Hutton is
moving closer to that goal every day, expanding his brand and audience in preparation for his
ultimate breakthrough. He’s drawn comparisons to The Beatles, Elvis Costello, and Randy
Newman but can’t be defined with such simple tactics. Tyler Hutton is one of the artists currently
writing the future of popular music and belongs in the ears of anyone who needs to know what
that future sounds like.
