Hello, this is Mursel ISIK. I am a singer/songwriter/composer/musician living in Istanbul., TURKEY. I was graduated from the School of Architecture, Department of Urban and Regional Planning of I.T.U (Istanbul Technical University) in 1998.
I’m a City Planner, working in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB), at Planning Department. Also I have 4 music albums in Turkey as a Professional Musician and also I have 2 projects in Action Moves People United & Together in Peace / United Nation, UNESCO. I am so glad and proud to be a part of such a valuable projects as a “Voice of Peace” with many great poet, singer, musician and precious people in the name of making contribution to World Peace.
I was eighteen when I picked up my first guitar. It is a little bit late age for picking up the first guitar but unexpectedly I just wanted to sing my own song. I thought that I should have my own songs. As a matter of fact, I am always interested in literature and poetry. Besides that, I have been writing my own poems, so I wanted to compose my poems and the poetries’ of my favorite poets. It was like a dream, I woke up one morning and then I started to play guitar with my own composed music. In the age of 18, suddenly something about playing my own songs has started to grow….
My first step to the professional music career was my rock album, "Gun Aksamlidir” (It means “The Day is Evening”) in 2000.
Then my second album, "Non Dolet, Dieu Merci...” which was like a message from me stating, "I am here and continuing", released in 2003.
After a 5 year period, I released my 3rd and the last album, “Ask Neydi ki?” (It means “What was Love?”) in 2008.
And after the years I have 2 projects in “Action Moves People United” & “Together in Peace” albums United Nation-UNESCO, New York. 2016-2017
Finally my 4th. Solo album is finished. I made 9 songs for my new album. I have released one of these songs on all digital music platforms.
In my Country, the big Philosopher Rumi from Konya city where my first school years passed, gave peace and love messages to all over the world by saying that: “people who share the same feelings can understand each other more than people who speak the same language” Here, as we share the same feelings we should always from “Peace and Love” waves. Those waves should be continually in Turkey, we say each other “SELAM” as a meaning of “Greeting”. One of the meanings of SELAM is also “PEACE”
